Neymar Out, Brazil Now Relying on Coutinho

Neymar suffered an ankle ligament injury while defending Brazil against Qatar. The most expensive footballer in the world was immediately sentenced to miss the Copa America 2019 by the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF).
The new Brazil beat Honduras 7-0 on Monday (10/6), in the last trial match before competing in the Copa America, which was held starting on Saturday (15/5). Coutinho performed brilliantly by scoring one goal and one assist in that match.
The Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva, hopes that Coutinho can replace Neymar's role, especially in the Copa America 2019. Despite only having a difficult season with Barcelona, Coutinho is considered happy when defending his country.
"The collective game remains the main one. Coutinho has a difficult season at Barcelona. It is very demanding and they often scoff at him, but here he is our reference, especially because we don't have Neymar," Silva told Sportskeeda.
"Coutinho is needed in the match. In the last two friendly matches, he was the best player on the field. Not only because of his goals and passes, but also his ability to defend. He rediscovered his happiness."
"I am very happy and actually uncomfortable talking about it because we are very close. In the first friendly match, I tried to make it more calm. I also asked Neymar to help him," continued the Paris Saint-Germain defender.
In the 2019 Copa America, Brazil joined in Group A with Bolivia, Honduras and Peru. The first match is facing Bolivia at Estadio do Morumbi, Sao Paulo.
